Brabus gives Tesla electric roadster tune-upBottrop, Germany  - The German tuning specialist Brabus has given the Tesla electric roadster special treatment with white paintwork, new alloys and a sound generator that simulates engine noise from a V8 to a Formula 1 racing car.

Normally focused on the tune-up of Mercedes and Smart cars, Brabus is planning to unveil its first zero-emission project at the upcoming Essen Motor Show starting on November 29 to December 7.

Aimed at Tesla drivers, who might feel uncomfortable driving a silent sports car, the volume of the "Space Sound Generator" is linked to the output of the electric motor. Apart from V8 and Formula 1 modes, drivers can also choose the space age sounds of "Warp" and "Beam".

The special light alloys with 18 inch for the front and 19 inch for the rear are fitted with high-performance tyres. The Brabus carbon fibre body enhancements include a rear wing, new air inlets and front spoiler. Interior adaptations include leather upholstery. (dpa)
