BMW Recorded 92% Growth on Its Overall Sales in IndiaThe luxury car manufacturer company, BMW has reported a 92% growth on its overall sales in India in the first five months of this year. The company has credited the improvement in growth to its newly launched S5 and X1 series.

The President of BMW India, Andreas Schaaf, said that the company has sold 200-300 cars per month of the S5 series and X1 in India. He further added that the new series is contributing the most to the sales in India.

BMW India has sold 5,000 in Maharashtra in the last three years and about 800 in Pune. Schaaf told the Press Trust of India that BMW India is planning to expand its dealer network in India and will also reach the smaller cities of the country.

Under the expansion plan, BMW India has opened a new showroom of Bavaria Motors at the premium location on Wellesley Road in Pune Camp. Schaaf said, “With our partnership with Bavaria Motors, we will reach out to more customers in Maharashtra in the right manner and consistently provide them with the best products and services that are at par with international BMW standards”.
