Bhutia wants coach to stayIndia's football coach Bob Houghton has resigned from his position. But the Indian Captain Bhaichung Bhutia believes that the coach is not getting the exact co-operation he wants from the Federation and the authorities.

Due to delay in extending his contract, Bob has decided to step down. The contract was expected to be extended after the Asian Cup. But it did not happen. Houghton has sent his resignation to the All-India Football Federation (AIFF) and has quit the job.

Bhutia has said in Kolkata that he along with the Indian football fraternity want Bob to stay with the team as a coach. He has also said that it is quite unfortunate that Houghton is not getting proper support from others that he needs.

Along with Bhaichung many people believe that he is the person who has taken Indian football to this stage and he can bring a semblance of respectability to Indian football. The Indian Football Captain has urged All India Football Federation (AIFF) to take immediate steps to convince Bob to withdraw his resignation.
