Bango-Facebook integration for bill-to-mobile payments now live in US, UK, Germany
With the integration between mobile payment provider Bango and social network Facebook now live, Bango said in a Monday announcement that purchases made via the mobile site can now be charged directly to the phone bill of the Facebook users in the US, UK, and Germany.
With Bango-Facebook integration implying that users buying digital content will no longer require either the registration of credit card details or use premium SMS messages, Bango said that the charges of the digital-content purchases can be added to the mobile phone bill of the customers or deductions can be made from their pre-paid account credit.
In other words, Bango now allows the US, UK, and German users of the Facebook mobile website to purchase Facebook Credits for games or virtual gifts, without having to enter credit card details or use expensive text-messaging services.
While the advantage of the new Bango-powered bill-to-mobile payments is now available in the three mentioned countries, Bango has revealed that its integration with Facebook will be expanded to work in other countries by the end of 2012.
About bringing Bango's bill-to-mobile payment experience to Facebook, Bamnfo CEO Ray Anderson said that improvements in mobile web experience have increased customer's eagerness to buy digital goods on mobile devices; and added: "By ensuring a frictionless payment experience, Bango technology is unlocking the business potential of the mobile web."
