Balaji Telefilms Jumps After Block Deal
Balaji Telefilms was trading on an upper place after benefiting 3.79% to Rs 231.55 as its 10 lakh shares moved in a single block deal at Rs 229.75 per share on NSE.
The scrip touched an intraday high of Rs 233.95 and an intraday low of Rs 221.50 during the day. On 22 May 2007, the stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 263 and a 52-week low of Rs 102 on 24 July 2006.
There total number of shares for trading on the counter today was 4.25 lakh. During the last four months period, the stock experienced an average daily volume of 5.07 lakh shares on BSE. The company’s current equity capital is Rs 13.04 crore, with 6.52 crore outstanding shares with a face value of Rs 2 each.
At the current price of Rs 231.55, the scrip trades at a PE multiple of 18.93, based on year ended March 2007 EPS of Rs 12.23.
The scrip made 11.94% during the month to 5 July 2007 against the Sensex’s 4.25% increase. In past three months, it appended 80.50% versus the Sensex's 15.60% return.
