Auto industry to get a regulator soonAs the automobile industry is all set to enter the next level of growth, the government is aware that it may require a regulator in times to come. In fact, union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Vilasrao Deshmukh recently said that there will soon be a body for regulating the auto industry that will be set up for sustainable growth of the sector.

Deshmukh said at the golden jubilee celebrations of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) that the regulatory body will surely act as a catalyst to ensure sustainable growth for the industry as a whole.

While the minter refused to give out the exact time frame for the same but said that it will be set up in the next few months.

It is to be mentioned here that the regulatory body will be called the National Automotive Authority.

It may be noted here that the Indian automobile industry is the second fastest growing auto industry in the world and government is trying to take suitable steps to take it to a path of the sustainable growth.
