Sydney - Big gains on Wall Street powered Australian stocks into positive territory Tuesday.

The ASX 200 added 159 points, or 5.7 per cent, to 3,623.

Increases were across the board, with big miners particularly benefiting after a rise in commodity prices. (dpa)
