Audi aims at top spot in the Indian market

Audi-LogoThe German luxury carmaker Audi India is aiming for the top slot in the Indian market by 2015. Currently standing at the third spot, the company sold 1685 units in the last year while BMW dethroned Mercedes-Benz to become to the number one luxury carmaker in India.

Market watchers believe that Audi products are much more stylish and appropriate for the Indian market as compared to its counterparts.

Notably, the SUV segment is the competitive advantage that the company holds in the Indian market as its offers a range of product. While the company is also aiming to expand its portfolio it is also targeting an increase in its dealership network. The company holds 12 dealerships across the country and that will be scaled up to 18 by the end of next year.

The company is now following the steps of its counterparts and is aiming to go all guns blazing towards the Tier-II cities. The new destinations that will be added to Audi's portfolio will be Jaipur, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Nagpur, Lucknow and Coimbatore.
