Apple to shutdown from Dec. 22-29 for holidays
Technology giant, Apple ahs reportedly informed app developers that it will shutdown from 22 to 29 December for the winter holidays this year and asked them to finish their works faster if they wish to cash in on the opportunity when the people will start using their iTunes gift cards.
The company’s developer relations and application review teams will not be working during the time and thus developers will not be able to upload their finished apps. The company’s retail operations will remain open during the holidays.
As the company follows a stick app approval policy, each app is approved by its staff before it is allowed in its App Store. AS the company headquarters in Cupertino, California will remain closed, no new apps will be approved during the holidays.
The company has said that any app that is scheduled to go live during this time will be delayed until the employees return to work. If the developers make pricing changes during the time, the system would temporary remove it from the app store, blocking its sales to the users, warned Apple.
