Apple to offer MicroUSB charger for iPhone 4S in Europe Technology giant, Apple might offer a MicroUSB charger for its newly released upgraded iPhone 4S in European countries.

The The £8 iPhone micro-USB adaptor will go on sale along with the new iPhone 4S. The move could address a general concern of Apple users who were not able to charge their deivce in common places unless they carried special Apple chargers.

EU recognized MicroUSB as a common phone charging standard in a law in 2010 to allow customers to charge their devices by plugging it into either a computer or a plug socket. All Android, Blackberry or Windows Mobile phone handsets already some with such a charging option.

Apple has now joined the companies allowing surest o charge devices using the standard. The move will allow Apple to both keep its own proprietary 30-pin connection on the iPhone, iPad and iPods. and provide EU-compliant charging.
