Andhra Govt. Puts Rs 6000 Cr Deal In REL’s Pocket

AAmbaniNew Delhi: Reliance Energy, a consortium headed by Anil Ambani group firm, has gained a Rs 6,000 crore agreement from the Andhra Pradesh government for building up a 100-storey trade tower and business centre in Manchirevula in Ranga Reddy region, in the outer edge of Hyderabad

The sources said that the group has got a letter of award from Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) for the project that involves development of more than 77 acres of land.

“The trade tower would be the tallest building in India,” the source added.

The deal comprises design, growth, funding, building, promotion, process and preservation of the project, for which a special purpose vehicle (SPV) would be constituted by the group and APIIC.

The project would be finished in three stages.

The initial module would have the 100-floor trade tower over four million sq ft in four years.

The second section would consist of building up Phase I of the business centre on 30 acres in 7-years. The final section would include development of Phase II of the business centre on the remaining 16.28 acres.
