Adobe Reveals Its New Cloud Service ‘Document Cloud’

Software major Adobe has revealed its new Document Cloud, a cloud-based service for storing and sharing documents.

The San Jose-based company revealed that the service will most probably be launched in the next 30 days and will cost only $15 a month, unless a person already has a Creative Cloud or Acrobat subscription.

According to Adobe, Document Cloud represents the company's third major investment in the cloud, after the launch of its Creative Cloud, a design app suite, and Marketing Cloud, a bundle of marketing services.

As per experts, Adobe's this move shows that how dedicated the company is towards the PDF, a technology which the company first launched nearly 22 years ago.

It has been told that Adobe's Document Cloud has not been designed to directly compete with Box or Dropbox. The service is limited to documents and presentations and is specifically designed to work in tandem with Acrobat DC, which is the next major update to Adobe Acrobat.

According to Adobe, its newly revealed Document Cloud is a modern way to manage critical documents at home, in the office, and across devices.

The company further describes the Document Cloud as a way to address the waste and inefficiency associated with document processes.

As per market experts, Adobe's new cloud service has some non-enterprise uses as well, but the company says that the service is limited to business use only.

According to Adobe, the new service has several features that are designed to improve efficiency inside organizations, rather than within your daily life. It also said that the new service will create more efficient, paperless offices.
