Adnan & His Wife Sabah Trade Hideous Charges In Sessions Court
A family court judge on Friday suggested that playback singer Adnan Sami and his wife Sabah Galadhari clear up their marital fight in an amicable manner while Sami alleged that his father-in-law is a "smuggler'', and he made all his money through illegal activities.
Both husband and wife were present in the sessions court on Friday together with their lawyers.
Mr. Vibhav Krishna, Adnan's lawyer told that Sami was ready to settle the matter while Sabah’s lawyer, Mrinalini Deshmukh, looked on.
However, the matter was postponed to May 19 after Adnan lodged his answer to his wife's appeal for separation.
A few days back, Sabah registered an FIR against Adnan and his parents charging them of inhuman treatment and torturing.
While answering to the shocking and dizzy charges in his wife's appeal, Pakistani crooner stated that all these allegations are fake and annoying.
“Sabah does not even reside with Adnan but keeps filing cases against him in several courts just to malign his image,” the bail plea said.
But, Adnan said, “He had no desire to stoop to her low levels, otherwise I would be constrained to place relevant material to demonstrate the past of the Galadhari family as leading smugglers in UAE in the 1980s...''.
Supporting his father, he added that there could be no similarity between his honest and dutiful Pakistani army officer father and Sabah’s father who made his all his wealth through smuggling.
He said, however, he was restraining himself from "making derogatory references to her family''.
Sabah also filed an application under the Domestic Violence Act to seize Sami's Andheri house.
Sami said, “Sabah belonged to the well-known Galadhari family based in Dubai and was heir to the family business which earned trillions of dollars a year all over the world.”
“The Mumbai flat has no relevance for her as she could afford property in the most expensive locations even in Mumbai,” he added.'
Sami also said that his parents were not interfering in their marriage, and opposed the divorce plea.
He also said that the Rs 10 lakh demanded by Galadari for legal fees "was exaggerated''.
