2.5 kg hashish recovered by Delhi Police

Delhi-PoliceIt was a miraculous catch on Monday, when Delhi Police seized 2.5 kilograms of hashish from a 48-year old Nepal resident, who was supposedly supplying the drug to Bangkok from a courier office.

Kesh Bhadur Gurung, the Nepal resident, was transferring the hashish to Bangkok, while he was captured in Delhi's GTB Nagar's courier office. The parcel, addressed to be delivered to a person named John Michael, was wrapped in carbon paper comprising of six packets.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Neeraj Thakur said that it was a work of criminals linked to Nepal with foreign client base.

Hashish, which is supposedly a banned drug in India, is known to cause hallucinations in people. It causes severe problems with respect to health. This catch highlighted the ongoing activities under the nose of the law-makers.
