Tendulkar hails Indian public's love, support for inspiration to do 'something special'

Sachin TendulkarNew Delhi, Nov 21 - Retired Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has hailed the Indian public and has expressed his gratitude to them for inspiring him to 'do something special'.

In an exclusive interview with CNN, Tendulkar thanked the Indian fans and said that right from the time he started playing for India, 24 years ago, people have appreciated his performances, which had inspired him to go out on the field every time and give his best.

Tendulkar further said that the entire nation backing him every time he played a match had given him the strength to go out and perform even better than his previous performances, adding that whenever he failed, the crowd's support and love was another reason for him to step up and go higher.

The Little Master also said he believes that the support and the well wishes of the entire nation inspired him to go out every time and do something special, adding that he has no words to express how thankful he is to the people.

Tendulkar mentioned that he is just a part of the Almighty's script and has just acted out whatever was written in the script. (ANI)
