London, Apr. 5 : Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel has joined the bandwagon of drivers opposing the newly proposed aggregate qualifying format of the Formula One.

According to the latest qualifying format, a driver's two best laps in each of the three knockout sessions will be combined in order to determine the grid position.

Meanwhile, the 90-second qualifying format that saw the drivers get eliminated one by one rather than being dismissed at the end of each session in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix and in the Bahrain Grand Prix would be dropped.

Johannesburg, Feb. 23 : Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel fended off world champion Lewis Hamilton to emerge as the fastest driver as
2016 Formula One pre-season got underway with the first test at the Circuit de Cataluyna track in Barcelona on Monday.

The 28-year-old was nearly half a second faster than Hamilton, who finished the race in one minute and around 25 seconds.

Reflecting on his performance, Vettel said that he was satisfied with the car and felt better to finish first in about a month's time.

London, July 27 - Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel surprised everyone by winning the action-packed and thrilling Hungarian Grand Prix for the first time on Sunday, while reigning Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton finished sixth.

The four-time world champion, who was stated third on the grid, won the 41st race of his career, the BBC reported.

Nico Rosberg saw his chance to catch Mercedes teammate Hamilton in the title race disappear with a puncture near the end and finished eighth.

Wellington, Apr 29 : Silverstone circuit new managing director, Patrick Allen, has backed Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel to push reigning champion Lewis Hamilton harder in order to make the racing sport more exciting and competitive in the forthcoming races ahead of July's British Grand Prix.

Mercedes driver Hamilton maintained his dominance on the track this season too as the Briton has won three of the four races so far. Vettel, meanwhile, clinched the other victory in Malaysia.
