Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Nov.2 : Veteran batsman Gautam Gambhir, who returned to the Test squad against New Zealand after a two-year absence from international cricket, has been retained in the 15-man squad for the first two matches of the five-Test series against England starting from November 9 in Rajkot.

Pace spearhead Ishant Sharma has also been recalled in the Test squad after recovering fully from Chikungunya, which had ruled him out of the New Zealand series.

Kolkata [India], Sept.30 : India won the toss and opted to bat first in the second Test of the three-match series against New Zealand here at the Eden Gardens on Friday.

After winning the toss, Kohli said, "Pretty hard surface, good cover of grass, first overs will be challenging. Preparation has been smart, because it's been hot in Kanpur and the same in Kolkata. If we have the chance to dominate again, we will go for that extra bit. All about doing the basics right and executing the skills properly. Composition is same."

Kolkata, May 13 : Two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) would look to get one foot into the play-offs when they host a struggling Rising Pune Supergiants in an Indian Premier League (IPL) contest at the Eden Gardens here on Saturday.

The Supergiants have had a horrible season so far with only three wins from 11 games and have no chance of making the last four, whereas KKR have won six out of their 10 outings and ideally need two more victories to make the cut.

Kolkata, May 5 : After claiming a seven-run win over Kings XI Punjab in their Indian Premier League ( IPL) clash last evening , Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir has insisted his side will not take any game for granted despite climbing up to the top in the point table.

The skipper (70) shared a huge 101-run partnership with Robin Uthappa (54) to propel his side to the target of 165 runs against Murali Vijay's side.

In reply, Kings XI failed to counter the hosts' bowling attack and were restricted to 157 runs in their stipulated 20 overs at the Eden Gardens here.
