Johannesburg, Nov.25 - Former German football great Franz Beckenbauer has admitted that the committee chaired by him during the bidding process for the 2006 World Cup 'went to the limits'.
Beckenbauer had earlier admitted that he made a mistake in the bidding process for the 2006 World Cup.
The 70-year-old revealed that there was no ethics commission in FIFA and they could contact the executive committee of the world's football governing body directly.

Johannesburg, Oct. 22 - The FIFA Ethics Committee has opened an investigation against German football great Franz Beckenbauer and Spain's retired footballer Angel Maria Villar over alleged charges of misconduct.
The committee didn't reveal the exact reason why the two were being investigated, Sport24 reported.
Earlier, FIFA president Sepp Blatter and UEFA president Michel Platini were also handed a 90-day suspension due to Swiss criminal proceedings against them.
