The mobile cell phones manufacturing unit of Spice Communications Limited – Spice Mobiles on Monday launched its most innovative Windows-enabled dual-SIM mobile phone – Spice D-1111 – in the Indian market. Spice Mobiles claimed that Spice D-1111 is the first dual mode (GSM+CDMA) handset in India.

Spice D-1111 is capable of working on live GSM and CDMA connections simultaneously. Superb convergence of fun and functions, Spice D-1111 comes preloaded with a slew of VAS applications, such as Nimbuzz, Reuters, Mitr, and Opera Mini.

Spice D-1111 uses the Windows Mobile 6.0 platform for functioning. Offering phenomenal quality and functionality, Spice D-1111 boasts of its touch panel, 2 mega pixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, and expandable memory upto 2 GB.

Spice D-1111 comes bundled with enterprise application Email2SMS service, with which users can read emails via SMS channel instead of GPRS connection. With the service, the users can read their complete mails on the go as SMS without activating GPRS or downloading any software. Spice Mobiles declared that it is offering one month free subscription of Emails2SMS service on Spice D-1111.

The push mail feature of Spice D-1111 allows users to check their mails by a single touch, and the Outlook on the Spice D-1111 allows users to check their mails on the go. The touch panel makes Spice D-1111 easier-to-use phone.    

Spice D-1111 features value-added services like Nimbuzz, Reuters, Mitr and Opera Mini. Using Nimbuzz, users can login for multiple chat accounts in a single window like Yahoo!, MSN, Gtalk, etc. simultaneously. The feature allows users to stay in touch with friends incessantly.    

Mitr is single interface application for entire mobile WAP browsing experience, which features Sulekha, with which users can do a number of things, such as finding travel services, home services, searching food joints, etc. Spice D-1111 also comes loaded with the applications, such as cricbuzz.com offering live cricket updates, naukri.com facilitating job related searches, and jeevansaathi.com for matrimony searches. Additionally, Spice D-1111 allows users to download other applications on the mitr platform   

On the launch of Spice D-1111, the Spice Mobiles CEO, Kunal Ahooja dubbed the “Spice D-1111” as innovative, user-friendly, smart gadget offering great fun and functionality. Spice Mobiles announced that Spice D-1111 is available with a 512 MB memory card, leather pouch and a screen guard for Rs 18,499.
