Shinde’s ‘saffron terror’ remark is a well-planned conspiracy to conceal failures: BJP

Murli-Manohar-JoshiNew Delhi, Feb 5 : Taking on the Congress party and Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde over his `saffron terror' remark, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Murli Manohar Joshi on Tuesday said that the statement was a well-planned conspiracy to distract the people's attention from their failures.

Talking to mediapersons here at a press conference, Joshi said that Shinde has insulted the entire nation, culture and tradition of the country by his comment.

"Saffron is a symbol of selflessness and spiritualism, and I think Shinde Sahab must be aware of this. But, he made the statement with a well-planed strategy to hide the failures of his bad governance. It is not only the condemnable, but also an unacceptable statement. He and the Congress will have to face its dire consequences," said Joshi.

They are degrading the whole nation by such statement. I want to tell the Home Minister and the Centre that there is a resolution of UNSC''s Committee on Sanctions which states that Arif Kasmani, the chief coordinator of LeT, had funded the Samjhauta blasts," he added.

He said such allegations are not just an insult to the entire Hindu community, but they also weaken the country''s stand against terrorism.

Joshi further alleged that the UPA, after failing on all fronts, is playing new tactics to conceal its failures.

Shinde had alleged in the Congress Chintan Shivir in Jaipur earlier this month that BJP and RSS were involved in training their cadre in terror activities and those allegedly involved in Hindu terror acts were affiliated to them. (ANI)
