Ronaldo admits still thinks about Man U and misses 'fantastic' Ferguson

Cristiano RonaldoLondon, Jan 14 : Portugal football team captain Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he still thinks about his former club Manchester United and also misses coaching icon Sir Alex Ferguson.

The now three-time Ballon d'Or winner left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in a then-world record deal in the summer of 2009, and despite penning a new long-term deal with Real Madrid only last year the striker has been consistently linked with a big money move back to United one day.

After picking up his world player of the year award, Ronaldo conceded that he still holds his former club in high esteem, saying that he thinks about United, adding that the beginning of his career was there, and that's where he started, the Mirror reported.

Ronaldo said that he knows that the fans are there supporting him.

Ronaldo, who enjoyed a strong relationship with Ferguson during his time in United, revealed even now both have moved on they are still very much in touch. He said that he has not had a message from Ferguson yet but added that he speaks with him often.

Ronaldo said that Ferguson knows told him to keep improving all the time, adding that the former United coach told him that he is the best, and he should not worry about the rest.

The Portuguese claimed that Ferguson is fantastic, and he misses him. (ANI)
