Subramanian SwamyNew Delhi, Oct 26 : With the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accusing the ruling party at the Centre of shying away from polls in Delhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Sunday said the leaders of Arvind Kejriwal -led party should go back to their classrooms and learn the Constitution as it is the Election Commission that takes a final call on conducting elections and not the government.

Subramanian Swamy to address peace conference in China

"He will be traveling on June 20 for the two-day conference which will be held in Beijing on June 21-22. Swamy is scheduled to address the Conference on June 22 on 'South Asian Cooperation and Regional Security'," an official statement from his office said today.

Swamy, who merged his Janata Party with the BJP some seven months ago, was the chief guest at a meeting here of traders organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

"AAP failed to provide details of their foreign funding to the home ministry. Kejriwal and his team have been busy in Gujarat to escape action by the central government," he said.

Subramanian-SwamyNew Delhi, Nov 5 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy Tuesday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress have formed a "secret alliance" in Delhi ahead of the Dec 4 assembly elections.

"Both the parties are scared the BJP will win the polls and have entered into an unholy agreement to counter us," Swamy told mediapersons here.

The BJP leader said the AAP was an "anti-national" party and would struggle to win even a single seat in Delhi.

The plea may come up for hearing Wednesday.

The government March 26 approved Malaysian low-cost airline AirAsia's proposal to set up a new airline in India in partnership with the Tata Group and the Arun Bhatia-promoted Telestra Tradeplace.

On Aug 16, the Supreme Court had asked Swamy to move the high court with his plea.

"It is a shame that India has lost many years to vested interest. The South Asian aviation industry is far, far ahead of India," he told the media here.

"There are some bizarre rules; five years time before you can fly internationally! There are too many people who have vested interest, and they do not think of what India needs."

According to media reports, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on Thursday rejected a petition filed by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy seeking to declare the six accused -- a juvenile -- as an adult and have him prosecuted along with the five others.

Recently the Kerala High Court has dismissed a petition which was filed by former Law Minister Subramanian Swamy. The petition said that an Islamic bank disobeys the principle of secularism as designed in India's constitution.
