Melbourne, jan. 23 : British tennis star Andy Murray has blasted rivals Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic and says the moaning pair are only putting pressure on themselves.

The Sun quoted Murray as saying that Federer keeps whinging about being continually asked about Murray's chances of winning the Australian Open.

Murray said: "A few players disagree that I have been made the favourite. There have been some quite big contradictions from both of them. By saying they should be the favourites, they are putting more pressure on themselves."

Melbourne, Jan. 22 : Defending Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic has spoken out against the bookies' decision to rate Andy Murray, the world's fourth-ranked player, as equal favourite for the tournament alongside Roger Federer.

Djokovic, who eased through his second-round match against Jeremy Chardy in straight sets, believes that the three leading contenders for the title are the same players who won grand slam events last year: himself, Federer, and Rafael Nadal.

London, Jan 21 : Scottish professional tennis player Andy Murray has revealed that a gift he got from Spice Girls' manager Simon Fuller keeps him mentally alert at the Australian Open.

Murray, 21, has just signed up to 19 Entertainment, which is Fuller's, who represents both the Spice Girls and David Beckham.

"I was given a Nintendo DS a couple of weeks ago so I've been going on the Brain Training game while I've been in Melbourne," the Sun quoted him as saying.

"It was actually from Simon Fuller for winning this year's first couple of tournaments so I've been playing on that with my friend Ross Hutchins.
