Paypal to launch new service for online shoppersLeading online monetary transaction service provider, PayPal is planning to launch a new service called, `PayPal Access', which is designed to allow online shoppers to easily buy products on the internet without the need of creating numerous accounts with retailers.

PayPal Access will be unveiled at eBay's X. commerce developer conference in San Francisco on Wednesday. EBay spokesman Anuj Nayar explained that PayPal Access will allow users to log in on partner retailers' sites and pay with their PayPal username and password without the need for a separate account on each retail site.

At present several online shopping portals ask users to create a new account wth them even if the customer is paying with a Paypal account. The service would keep a user's personal details within PayPal, Nayar said.

The company will also launch X. commerce, which is a new platform, which will encourages developers to integrate eBay's technology into mobile commerce apps. The new platform will bring together software developer communities for eBay. com, PayPal and eBay-owned Magento e-commerce software firm.

The conference will also include upcoming version of eBay's smartphone app RedLaser as well as the roll out of a set of developer tools called X. commerce Fabric that will simplify the process for adding eBay-owned technology to smartphones and tablet computers.
