Paes-Cara Duo Breezes Into The Grand FinaleThe top seeded pair of India’s Leander Paes and Zimbabwean Cara Black has advanced into the final of the mixed double event of the Wimbledon championship after defeating Stephen Huss of Australia and Spanish Virginia Ruano Pascual in London on Friday.

Paes-Cara duo has outplayed the 12th seeded pair of Huss-Pascual in the straight sets by 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinal of mixed double event, which lasted for 71 minutes.

Paes and Black duo, last year’s US Open mixed doubles champions, struggled in the opening set as they were trailing by 0-3, but they broke their opponents in the fifth and seventh game to win the first set, which lasted for 35 minutes.

In the second also, there was a neck-to-neck competition between Paes-Cara duo and their opponents till the fourth game, but after that Paes-Black duo broke their opponents to win the set by 6-4 in 36 minutes.

In the grand finale Paes and Black duo will lock horns with the winner of match between 9th seeded Mark Knowles (Bahamas)-Anna-Lena Groenefeld (Germany) duo and unseeded pair of Jamie Murray (Great Britain)and Liezel Huber (USA) in the another semifinal.
