Authorities in the UK have said that about seventeen banks and building societies will pay about £149 million of interest and charges to customers with credit deals from the institutions.

The country's regulator, the Office of Fair Trading noted that the financial institutions did not offer enough legal information relating to the credit deals offered by them in the country. The repayment form the institutions will benefit some 497,000 customers who used ore cards, credit cards, loans and hire purchase agreements.

Washington, March 22 : Scientists have now managed to produce tissue from human stem cells that could be transplanted into patients with defective or diseased bladder, says a study.

For the first time, scientists have succeeded in coaxing laboratory cultures of human stem cells to develop into the specialized, unique cells needed to repair a patient's defective or diseased bladder.

The breakthrough was developed at the University of California's (UC) Davis Institute for Regenerative Cures and published in the scientific journal Stem Cells Translational Medicine.

Washington, Mar 22  : Microsoft is reportedly offering a discount of 100 dollars if users buy a new PC and ditch the old Windows XP system.

The software maker is ending support to its Windows XP OS on April 8 and is desperately providing consumers and businesses a chance to upgrade their systems, lest they become more prone to malware.

According to Cnet, the company's 'discount on new PC' is the latest trick to get users drop the decade-plus old operating system.
