According to sources, MTN is planning to hold a board meeting to discuss the present status of the controversial deal with R-COM.

Both Amabani groups are showing no sign of reaching to any agreement.

The absence of RCOM officials in the meeting convened to resolve the issues between both Ambani groups has intensified the issue.

MTN has extended the time period of exclusive talks with India's Anil Ambani Group firm RCOM till July 21.
