No need to press panic buttons on Indian cricket: Dhoni

No need to press panic buttons on Indian cricket: DhoniLondon, Aug. 18 : Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has cautioned his country''s selectors and the cricket board not go for "panic" measures in the wake of the sides three nil Test series loss to England.

Speaking ahead of the fourth and final Test to be played at The Oval from today, Dhoni said that rebuilding could wait, and that what is important is to stick to basics and keep things simple.

"We are not really sleeping, so, we don''t need a wake-up call. The past two years have been great. We have to look to the future as well, but at the same time the important thing is not to panic, because sides can push the panic button too soon. It is a sport at the end of the day, you go through tough times," Dhoni said.

"Challenges make life interesting. If you only achieve success it becomes quite easy for you. It''s the same in cricket or any other sport. It''s just a phase we''re going through. We are learning a lot," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted him, as saying further. (ANI)
