Istanbul - Nico Rosberg is looking for a new Formula One team as the German's contract at Williams expires after the current season.

"I am looking around, my contract expires," said Rosberg on Thursday ahead of the Turkish Grand Prix.

Rosberg, 23, has been linked with McLaren-Mercedes, with Mercedes motorsport chief Norbert Haug recently naming him "an interesting driver."

McLaren allegedly wanted him for 2008 after the departure of Fernando Alonso. But the son of former world champion Keke Rosberg decided to stay at Williams where he has been since 2006. (dpa)
