Microsoft drags three individuals to court over "click fraud" Microsoft Corp has dragged three individuals to court, accusing them of a sort of "click fraud" by reprehensively using Microsoft's online advertising service for profit.

In the suit, filed in a federal court in Seattle, the company accused three individuals viz. Gordon Lam, Eric Lam, Melanie Suen, of offensively using Microsoft's online advertising service, because of which the company suffered damages worth $750,000.

Microsoft demands the court to make the three pay $750,000 more for the damages they made to the company by deceitfully clicking on adverts related to the World of Warcraft. 
 
For the sake of knowledge, it can be mentioned here that those who set up an account like Microsoft's Ad network or Google's Adsense, depend on strangers clicking on the ads.

Each click brings in a small amount to the publisher. The more clicks you get, the more money you mint. According to Microsoft these three set up an account with it and then by some means arranged for their adverts to be frequently clicked.

As per Microsoft's claims it traced the source of the allegedly fraudulent clicks to these three people.
