Mark Hurd was offered a new role as Oracle’s president

Mark Hurd was offered a new role as Oracle’s presidentOracle Corp has offered its president's position to Mark Hurd.

Mark Hurd is the former chief Executive of technology giant Hwelett-Packard's (HP). Last month, he has been asked to abandon the HP in the wake of charges of sexual harassment.

In addition to the president's position, Oracle also selected Mr. Hurd as a director on the company's board.

Oracle CEO Larry Ellison said that we firmly believed in Mr. Hurd' talent and we have witnessed his expertise in HP and we expect him to perform much better at Oracle. He also said that in the IT world, Mr. Hurd is a famous name and nobody has enough talent to match his capacity.

HP has touched new heights of success with Mr. Hurd's huge experience in the technology business. In terms of revenue, HP has become one of the largest technology companies in computers and server systems.

At present, more than 25,000 employees are working with Oracle.
