Indian Govt To Look At Stimulus Packages For Weak Export Segments In AprilThe administration announced that it would take a call after the announcement of budget on providing a stimulus for a range of export commodities that continued to fare inadequately.

While releasing a research on a variety of aspects of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) talks, commerce secretary Rahul Khullar said, "We will provide internal stimulus to those exports which are making losses only after the budget."

"We will again decide on the various export sectors which continue to be in the red later in April this year," said Khullar.

Khullar added that the WTO discussions were proceeding at a "slow" speed and trusted that the member nations would take it forward in 2010.

He later said that a series of books that have a range of aspects linked to WTO will help reach out to the common man in a broad way and make this multifaceted subject easy to follow.

"Two-three years from now, the WTO issue will be a lively issue." (With Input from Agencies)
