India wants to see how Pak proceeds on 26/11 attacks: KrishnaNew York, Sept 22 : External Affairs Minister S. M. Krishna has said that India would be interested to see how Pakistan proceeds with reference to the Mumbai terror attacks.

Talking to a private TV channel here, Krishna said: "India''s position has always been consistent that those responsible for the Mumbai attack be brought to justice."

In replying to a question on Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed, he said: "He (Saeed) was the brain behind that attack on India. So, I think we expect Pakistan to act swiftly."

When asked about Saeed''s house arrest, he said: "I think there are conflicting reports. I am waiting for a fuller report of the actual position."

Saeed has been placed under house arrest in Lahore. According to Geo News, a police party was deputed outside his residence in the Johar Town area late on Sunday night, restricting his movement.

Saeed''s house arrest comes three days after police in Faisalabad registered two FIRs under the Anti-Terrorism Act for inciting people to wage jihad.

Krishna arrived here on Sunday evening to participate in the 64th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA). (ANI)
