Hillary Clinton ‘leaves door open’ for 2016 presidential bid

Hillary-ClintonWashington, Jan 30 : Outgoing secretary of state Hillary Clinton has left the door open for a possible future run in the 2016 presidential elections.

Clinton took part in her final interview as US secretary of state, answering questions from anchors and audiences around the world in what was billed as a ‘Global Townterview’ by the State Department.

Clinton, who has travelled almost a million miles, apparently held 1,700 meetings with world leaders and eaten some 570 airplane meals, will step down on Friday after four years as America''s top diplomat.

According to the Telegraph, she deftly side-stepped the question of whether she will run for president in the 2016 elections.

She told CNN that she absolutely have no plans to run, but admitted that suddenly waking up with no job to go to would be a shock.

She said that her work has been her whole life, adding that she has had a job ever since she was 13.

She said that ‘when I wake up, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, to have the luxury of nowhere to go, nothing to do, no frantic call about calling some leader about some impending crisis, I''m actually interested to see how that goes.’

According to the report, it was possible she might work together with the Clinton Global Initiative founded by her husband, former president Bill Clinton, as well as with her daughter Chelsea. (ANI)
