New York, Nov 13: Hugh Hefner’s ex girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson has landed a big modelling assignment— she’s shooting for a campaign for Marc Ecko''s high-end Cut & Sew line.

The news comes just days after the 23-year-old star confirmed her engagement to Philadelphia Eagles hunk Hank Baskett.

The ‘Girls Next Door’ star, known for her outspoken attitude, announced her split with the Playboy mogul last month.

The lady appears as eye candy in lingerie alongside a male model in ads for the menswear line.

An Ecko rep claimed they chose Wilkinson for the high-profile campaign as "her down-to-earth sexiness fits right in with the Cut & Sew customer."

Washington, Nov 13: In a new study, scientists have delved into one of the biggest questions plaguing brain research- how different human senses combine to give us a better view of the world.

Recent studies have claimed that there is actually a lot of overlap and blending of the senses occurring in the brain to help us better perceive our environment.

The study by researchers J. E. Lugo and colleagues at the University of Montreal, along with Walter Wittich from McGill University, was aimed at finding how different senses work simultaneously.

Scientists solve 500 million year old fossils mystery

Washington, Nov 13 : A new theory has emerged as to how fossils may form, with the finding that 500 million year old fossils in Canada were formed by minerals that were ''stone baked'' deep under the Earth''s crust, a mystery which took over a century to be solved.

The finding was made by scientists from the universities of Leicester and Cambridge and from the British Geological Survey, who studied 500 million year-old fossils of the Burgess Shale in Canada, discovered over a century ago.

Once an ancient sea bed, the Burgess shale were formed shortly after life suddenly became more complex and diverse – the so-called “Cambrian explosion” – and are of immense scientific interest.

Asian rights body urges BIMSTEC to reject Myanmar as chair

New Delhi, Nov. 13: The Asian Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) today condemned the decision of the 11th summit of the Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) to appoint Myanmar as the Chairman of the 12th Ministerial Summit and BIMSTEC from 2009.

BIMSTEC consisting of India, Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Myanmar is holding its 11th Summit today in New Delhi.

Tokyo stocks continue losses on strong yen, economic worries

Tokyo stock exchangeTokyo - The Tokyo stock market extended its losing streak to end Thursday trading lower as the market sentiment was dampened due to persistent worries over the US economy and the yen trading stronger against other currencies.

The Nikkei 225 Stock Average tumbled 456.87 points, or 5.25 per cent, to close at 8,238.64, a two-week low.

The broader Topix index of all first-section issues was also down 37.7 points, or 4.31 per cent, to 837.53.

Exporters were hurt by the stronger yen as it shaves off Japanese firms' earnings overseas.
