New York, Apr 19 : A new biography of Paul Newman describes the Oscar-winner as a hot-headed alcoholic and a womaniser- a side of his personality not many are aware of.

Shawn Levy''s `Paul Newman: A Life', has revealed that Newman once used to wear a bottle opener on a chain around his neck, and gulped down "beer after beer after beer, a case or more a day," and then went on to have the hard stuff, usually scotch.

London, Apr 20 : Action star Jackie Chan has sparked an outrage after claiming that too much political freedom in China isn't good, and that people need to be controlled.

While speaking at the Boao Forum for Asia, the 55-year-old actor said that he wasn''t sure if a free society was what the country needed, as too much freedom could lead to chaos like in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

London, Apr 20 : Legendary comedy duo Laurel and Hardy have been immortalised into bronze statues in Cumbrian town where Stan Laurel was born.

The fundraisers spent 10 years raising 60,000 pounds for the sculpture, which will be placed outside the Coronation Hall theatre in Ulverston.

The statues, designed and created by Graham Ibbeson, were unveiled by comedian Ken Dodd, 81.

In a partnership lasting 31 years, the pair Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy acted in 106 films spanning the silent era until the 1950s.

London, April 19 : Britain's Got Talent's unique finding Susan Boyle could become a millionaire overnight if she gets a record deal, says X-Factor judge Louis Walsh.

Walsh said that if the 47-year-old church volunteer from Scotland gets a record deal she would shoot straight to number one in America.

"I''ve never seen anything like this. Middle America obviously loves her," Sky News quoted him as saying.

"With the kind of support she''s getting she could easily have a number one album.

"And if she had a successful tour then she could make millions," he added.

Just before her life-changing performance on Britain''s Got Talent, Boyle revealed her dream: to become a professional singer as successful as Paige.

Now, in a message of support, Paige, the original Evita in London''s West End, has suggested the idea of the pair singing together.

New Delhi, Apr 19 : Hollywood actress Keira Knightly has revealed that she gets turned on by men who cry.

The 24-year-old actress says she likes men who can show their emotions, reports the China Daily.

"On screen these days, you rarely see a big, strong man. You see slender, androgynous-looking boys. I''ve worked with very few people whom I feel small against," she said.

"The most manly thing ever is a guy who can cry, who''s in touch with himself," she added.
