DSI subsidiary bags two Dubai contracts worth Dh500 million

Gulf Technical Construction Company Gulf Technical Construction Company (GTCC), the civil contracting arm of Drake & Scull International (DSI), has announced that it has secured two contracts worth about Dh500 million in Dubai.

The sources close to the company said that the work on the projects is expected to commence within the coming few months.

The sources further added that the first contract includes construction of 34-storeyed KPM Tower in Dubai Marina, which will be done by New World Investments Group and marketed by Almasah International Real Estate, a Dubai-based real estate company, which has about 30 projects in total including KPM Tower II and III in Downtown Jebel Ali.

The second contract entails the construction of six ground-plus-four-storeyed buildings located at one of the clusters as part of the second phase development of the Seasons Community.

The first phase of the project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010.
