‘Disgraced’ Armstrong’s wax figure dismantled from US museum

Lance-ArmstrongLondon, Feb 1 : In a further humiliation, disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has had his wax model dismantled at a famous waxwork museum in the United States, following his doping confession.

The life-size wax figure of Armstrong, which previously occupied prime position in the San Francisco's Wax Museum in California, US, was taken down by museum officials and was replaced by a wax figure of pop star Beyonce, the Sun reports.

However, Curtis Huber, the museum's curator, said there was nothing personal in removing Armstrong''s wax model, and added that the cyclist is still a worthy figure for the museum.

Despite owning up to cheating his way to the top, Armstrong has hit out at the decision to hand him a lifetime ban from the sport. (ANI)
