Despite lack of fresh air, eight miners rescued from gold mine in good healthAccording to news sources, eight mining workers got trapped inside a gold mine in Segovia town of Colombia. It was also reported that after many hours of struggle by rescue team, all the eight mine workers were safely rescued.

John Fredy Rendon Roldan, director of Colombia's Antioquia Provincial Disaster Response Department, said on Sunday that the miners were found on Saturday by rescue teams. He further added that according to the available information all the mine workers are in good physical and mental condition, despite a lack of fresh air.

On Friday, an electric transformer exploded and as a result of it the miners were trapped in the gold mine.

At the time of the blast, at least 32 people were working at the mine. Out of them 24 were immediately rescued by emergency workers. (With Inputs from Agencies)
