Cambodian PM Hun Sen Contracts Swine FluAccording to health ministry, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and five other government representatives have been infected with the A(H1N1) virus, also called swine flu.

Health Minister Mam Bunheng stated that PM has received treatment and is on recovery.

Mam Bunheng stated that the six were likely exposed to the deadly virus at the weekly cabinet meeting on last Friday.

Among the other representatives infected include Deputy Prime Minister Yim Chhay Ly and two senior ministers.

Hun Sen's sickness caused him to miss the 59th anniversary celebration of the founding of the ruling Cambodian People's Party, which occurred Monday in Phnom Penh.

Cambodia reported its first swine-flu case in June 2009, and the first fatality in September.

Swine flu has since infected about 600 people in Cambodia and killed six.

WHO's latest update from June 20 revealed that the illness has killed around 18,209 people all over the world. (With Inputs from Agencies)
