Buy Petronet LNG For Target Of Rs 87Technical analyst Rajesh Jain of SMC Global Securities is of the view that investors can buy Petronet LNG stock to achieve an intraday target of Rs 87.

According to Jain, the investors can buy the stock with a stop loss of Rs 81.

Today, the shares of the company opened at Rs 605.50 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 737 and a low of Rs 258 on BSE.

Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 24.12 and 6.03 respectively.

For the three month period ended March 2010, Petronet LNG posted lower than expected numbers due to small tolling volumes, inferior regasification margins and absence of spot volumes.

The company registered 10.1% year-on-year decline in revenue, which stood at Rs 2,385 crore.

The company's quarterly volumes stood at 91.8 trillion British thermal units (tBtu), which were much below then the company's expectation of 123 tBtus.

The company recorded an EPS of Rs 1.30 per share, a 52.21% fall over prior year period.

For the year ended March 31, the company's board has announced dividend @ 17.50% on the company's paid up share capital (i.e. Rs. 1.75 per share).
