Button wants to emulate Schumacher at Belgian Grand Prix

Button wants to emulate Schumacher at Belgian Grand PrixBrussels, Aug. 26 : British Formula One racer Jenson Button has not ruled out the prospect of emulating the remarkable feat Michael Schumacher will chalk up in Sunday''s Belgian Grand Prix.

The legendary German will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his Formula One debut, which took place on August 25 1991 at the Spa circuit.

Although the two decades have included three seasons in retirement, it is still an incredible achievement by the 42-year-old to be competing at motorsport''s highest level.

Sunday''s race will be Schumacher''s 280th, placing him a comfortable second on the all-time list behind Rubens Barrichello.

Button, 31, ushered in his own milestone of 200 Grands Prix at the last in Hungary, doing it in style by winning. But a 20-year F1 career is a different matter.

The Sun quoted Button, as saying: "This is my 12th year in the sport. But 20 years for Michael to be at the top of his game is very impressive. For a driver, with the stresses and pressures that are on you, 20 years is a long time in the sport for anyone." (ANI)
