Bharti Airtel launches mobile advertising platformIndia’s largest telecom operator, Bharti Airtel has entered India's mobile advertising segment with the launch of its new mobile advertising platform.

The company’s new mobile advertising platform will allow advertisers to manage their campaigns as well as share reporting and other analysis. The company said that advertisers to manage their campaigns, share reporting and analytics.

It also said that the platform will allow “massive in a high impact burst which can be delivered in just a few hours using touch points such as end of call notifications, recharge notifications & Digital TV guides.” It added that the platform can be used for reaching out to the rural subscribers with voice solutions.

The country’s mobile advertising market currently is valued at over Rs. 100 crore and it is expected to reach Rs. 144 crore by 2013, said a report jointly published by the Internet and Mobile Association of India and research firm IMRB.

K. Srinivas, president-consumer business, Bharti Airtel said, “Personalisation, sharp segmentation and contextualisation are increasingly making this platform exciting proposition for brands. With the mobile advertising market poised to grow by more than 40 percent over the next few years, Airtel with its technology, scale and customer intelligence is placed uniquely to leverage this growing medium.”
