BCCI Corp Trophy: Dhoni & Bisla guides Air India Blue to a comfortable win

Manvinder Bisla, Mahendra Singh DhoniIn a crucial tie, Air India Blue defeated Indian Revenue by 140 runs of the BCCI Sahara Corporate Trophy at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium on Thursday.

With this win, Air India Blue has sealed its place for the semis of the tournament.

A thrilling 152* (113) by Manvinder Bisla and a quick fire 106* (61) by skipper MS Dhoni ensured the victory for Air India Blue.

In a rain affected match, Air India Blue scored 362 for 1 in the allotted 42 overs.

Air India Blue got to a solid start as their openers Chandan Madan and Manvinder Bisla added 162 runs for the first wicket.

After Chandan fall, Bisla shifted gears and started to hit every ball. He took singles, hit fours and towering sixes. On the other hand, Dhoni too in his own casual scored a quick-fire innings, remaining unbeaten on 106 runs of just 61 balls.

Bisla also remained not out on 152 runs.

Chasing a mammoth total of 362 under the floodlights, the Indian Revenue team could manage only 222 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 42 overs.

Amesh Shrikande and Ankit were the highest scorers for them with 121 and 33 runs respectively.
