Spanish Automaker SEAT recently introduced the world to its latest product – the new Mo 125 Performance electric scooter (e-scooter), which boasts higher power and better tech specs.

Designed and developed keeping a sportier crowd in mind, the new SEAT Mo 125 Performance e-scooter comes equipped with a better electric motor that generates 7.5 kW (10.1 hp) and 11.5 kW (15.4 hp) of peak power. That is somewhat higher than the standard version’s 7 kW (9.4 hp) and 9 kW (12.1 hp) peak output. The range of the new variant has been reported at 133 km (82.6 miles) per full charge.

When it comes to acceleration, the Mo 125 Performance takes 2.9 seconds sprint from 0 to 50 km/h (0 to 30 mph). The standard version takes 3.9 seconds to perform the same task. Thus, the Performance version is faster by a second than the standard version.

The new e-scooter also comes loaded with an e-Boost function that helps a lot in overtaking or getting out of a jam. This innovative feature allows the rider to achieve a top speed of 105 km/h (roughly 65 mph), which is significantly better than the top speed (95 km/h or60 mph) of the base model. However, the so-called e-Boost feature works for a very short duration. According to information provided by the manufacturer, the e-Boost interval lasts for a maximum of 30 seconds. Luckily, the function becomes available again following a rest-period of two minutes.

There are a total of three driving modes – Eco, City and Sport. As mentioned above, the e-Boost function has been added to provide an extra push.

Sharing specs of the new electric two-wheeler, the manufacturer states on its official website, “Move how you feel with a choice of three driving modes, including Eco, City and Sport … E-Boost gives you that that extra push to overtake when you need to.”

To bring the e-scooter to an instant halt in case of emergency, the manufacturer has equipped the new variant with a set of powerful brakes. Front and rear premium Galfer brakes and brake pads promise increased stopping power, reliability and safety.

Of course, that extra stopping power drains the EV’s removable 5.6-kWh lithium-ion battery a little sooner. Charging, which takes 6-8 hours to fully replenish the battery pack, is as easy as finding a plug socket. The first units of the 2023 Mo 125 Performance e-scooter are expected to roll into dealerships before the end of first quarter of next year.
