Fortis-healthcareThe department of anaesthesia, pain relief and critical care at Fortis Hospitals released "Protocols in Anaesthesia", which aims to normalize the anaesthesia procedure to proffer a better quality medical result and further offer a superior patient safety pre and post surgery.

Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde said that Anaesthesia is massively supported by a back office operation as far as patients are related. Maximum number of patients is afraid of anaesthesia, because their life thrives in the hands of another human being. Mistakes based on the anesthetist's part may result in hampering the patient. There is a massive need of escaping errors and with such plans, the processes can be converted in to more systematic and error free.

Patient safety is considered a mutual effort which needs to be pushed by one and all, comprising of surgeons, nurses and anesthetists. This procedure, which surprised the motives of everyone in the operating room for the profit of the patient and can totally get rid of wrong patient, wrong operation and wrong surgery offers superior superiority care to patients, claimed Dr Murali Chakravarthy, Consultant Anaesthesiologist, Fortis Hospital.
