Acer, Intel launch Aspire Timeline Series in INR 40-50k price rangeLeading notebook maker Acer and leading chip manufacturer, Intel has introduced a new notebook series ‘Aspire Timeline Series’ (ATS) in the country with extended and user friendly features. The new series, having battery backup of eight hours, is designed on the basis of Ultra-low Voltage (ULV) platform of Intel.

W S Mukund, Managing Director, Acer India said, “ATS is an ultra thin, ultra light notebook series with promise of all-day computing."

Its other features includes the power saving adaptive charging mode, display with 16.9 aspect ratio, 1366 X768 HD resolution, fine tip keyboard, a multi-gesture touch pad, a built-in Wi-FI/Wi-Max functionalities, a webcam and a dolby sound room. It is available in the price range of Rs 39,999 to Rs 44,999 across all leading computer stores.

Praksh Bagri, Director, Marketing, Intel South Asia, said, “With Intel's new ULV processor family, notebooks can now measure under an inch thick, weigh much less than before and include wireless options."

Meanwhile, Microsoft Corp, the world’s biggest software maker, is all set to release free anti-virus in a line with such products sold by Symantec Corp and McAfee.
