Hamburg - Brazil's Ze Roberto is in talks with SV Hamburg on a free transfer from Bayern Munich, the veteran midfielder confirmed on Wednesday.

"Negotiations are very advanced," the 34-year-old former international told the online editions of Munich's tz and Hamburg's Morgenpost newspapers.

Ze Roberto said the move would be "perfect" for him and his family.

Hamburg have reportedly offered Ze Roberto a two-year contract with an option for a further season.

Ze Roberto had wanted a two-year deal at Bayern but the club was prepared to offer only a one-year extension.(dpa)
