Yet again a movie on Thackeray family

Thackerays seem to be in the limelight again for the tinsel town as another movie based on the Thackeray family feud has found its way into the Bollywood. After Ram Gopal Verma's Sarkaar and Sarkaar Raj the movie is scheduled to be in theatres soon.

Director Avdhoot Gupte's Zenda, which would be released on January 8, would showcase the split of the Shiv Sena. The movie is reportedly inspired by the tussle between Uddhav and his cousin Raj.

Not only Marathis but people from other places are also curious about the film.

In the latest elections held in Maharashtra, Thackeray vs Thackeray was the biggest talking point as a lot of drama was seen. It seems that the tiff between Uddhav and Raj has attracted moviemakers’ attention.

"I have been very close to Balasaheb Thackeray, Udhdhav and even Raj Thackray for a long time. They trust me. Moreover, they respect an artist because they are also artistes and they respect the freedom of expression," adds director and musician Gupte,

Actors playing the roles would be Pushkar Shotri and Rajesh Shrungarpure.

It is difficulty to talk about the film’s fate as many known names refused from producing the movie following the movie's controversial topic.
