West to take on South in Duleep Trophy finalThe 15 times champions West Zone will take on South Zone in the final match of the Duleep Trophy to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Both teams have been affected badly by non-availability of their key players for the final match as nearly 11 players of both teams have left their team to play in the Board President's XI team which will play in the warm-up match against South Africa in Nagpur.

West Zone led by skipper Wasim Jaffer will miss Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Parthiv Patel, Cheteshwar Pujara and Abhishek Nayar while Abhinav Mukund, S Badrinath, Manish Pandey, R Ashwin, R Vinay Kumar and Abhimanyu Mithun will be absent from the South Zone team led by captain Dinesh Karthik.

Speaking to the media, Jaffer said that they will certainly miss their players but they have players who have performed well in the Ranji Trophy and they are hopeful to give their best in the final on Tuesday. (IANS)
